Nudes

    Nudes are among the classic themes of the art world. The images in this series are my interpretation of the nude as a subject matter. Several of the following images are taken from other series. Some use the nude solely to experiment with light and form. Others use the nude as a component with which to tell a story. Still others portray the nude in a tongue and cheek manner.

Each image is hand printed by Oscar Lozoya using fiber based, silver gelatin paper. Then it is mounted and matted using archival, museum rag board. The process uses all traditional methods, and is controlled by Oscar at each and every step. Because of the nature of hand printing, each image will have its own characteristics making it unique.
