Cuentos - Tales |
|
|
Cuentos, or Tales, are a
large part of any culture: ranging from bedtime stories to classic literature.
In my cultura, stories of La Llorona and El Cucui are used to warn children
about being good. Curanderas, or healers, do in fact exist. However, their
powers are often expanded upon in the telling of tales. Others are from
religion; El Diablo or The Devil is an important part of many cultures.
Mythology is filled with great characters and deeds that conjure up exciting
visual images. The images that come from these stories are intriguing life
lessons as well. -Oscar Lozoya These images are protected my Federal Copyright Law and cannot be reproduced without the express written consent of the Copyright Owner - Oscar Lozoya. All images shown above are available for usage at a nominal fee. (Fee is determined by usage - exposure, time, etc.) Each image is hand printed by Oscar Lozoya using fiber based, silver gelatin paper. Then it is mounted and matted using archival, museum rag board. The process uses all traditional methods, and is controlled by Oscar at each and every step. Because of the nature of hand printing, each image will have its own characteristics making it unique.
